Diversity
Better
In Australia, just 13 per cent of board roles are held by women. Within the ASX 200 companies, women comprise only 2.5 per cent of chairs and 3 per cent of chief executives.
Research shows that a diverse workforce is important in delivering business strategy and that diverse teams are better at innovation, problem-solving and creating new business opportunities. A diverse workforce strengthens organisational performance, and diversity builds an inclusive culture where all employees feel valued.
Different perspectives and experiences create a competitive advantage, and helps drive growth and expansion through new markets and new business opportunities. It also helps an organisation to attract and better retain.
A diverse workforce will also help an organisation to understand customers’ needs better in different markets and in different countries, more effectively.
Bottom line? Yes. The business case for diversity is undisputed and Johnson has an exceptional track record of helping our clients build and retain high performing and diverse leadership teams.
