Amanda Williams

Partner, CFO Risk and Diversity practices

Amanda leads Johnson’s CFO, Risk and Diversity practices. She has led CFO and CRO searches for some of Australia’s leading ASX listed organisations and, with her focus on diversity, has developed a reputation for helping clients to address issues surrounding a lack of diversity in leadership. Amanda has worked with organisations to identify high potential diverse talent across both Finance and Risk, and facilitated client workshops on how to deal pragmatically with, and to respond to, some of the challenges associated with the current lack of diversity.

Amanda brings more than 14 years of experience in the executive search industry, and previously spent 12 years with global professional services firm, Ernst & Young. At Ernst & Young she consulted to major banking and financial services institutions, initially in Europe and North America and latterly in Australia, on significant finance and risk issues.

Before joining Johnson, Amanda led the Financial & Professional Services sectors and Banking Practice for global recruitment firm, Hudson, in Australia.

Amanda has authored many articles on the issue of diversity at executive and board level, exploring what some of the world’s leading organisations are doing to respond to this critical leadership issue.

Amanda is a member of Women on Boards and Women in Finance. She is also Chair of Caretakers Cottage, a not-for-profit organisation which provides crisis care and accommodation to homeless children and young people.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and International Relations, at The University of Reading, United Kingdom; Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
