Jason is one of the industry’s recognised entrepreneurs, thought leaders and innovators.

Appointed as the youngest partner of more than 110 partners in the NASDAQ- listed Highland Partners, Jason had the privilege to work with and learn from some of the leading search and leadership consultants in the world. Yet, he felt that the search industry had failed to adapt to the shifting needs of clients.

After five years as a partner at Highland Partners, and with a yearning to re-define the executive search industry, Jason established Johnson. In its second year of operation, the firm was identified by Business Review Weekly as one of the country’s fastest-growing new businesses. Six years on, the firm is now Australia’s largest executive search firm by consultant numbers and revenue and the fastest growing firm of its type in the Asia-Pacific.

Jason has introduced “best in class” processes which have helped the firm develop a reputation for an unprecedented commitment to excellence at every point of client contact. The firm has achieved market leading benchmarks for Placement Rate, Average Days to Placement and Candidate Stick Rate.

Jason’s personal commitment to the community and sustainable leadership is reflected in the business with Johnson being the first executive search firm in the world to become carbon-neutral, a standing that the firm has proudly maintained. In addition, the firm has strong links with charitable organisations including Caretakers Cottage, which Johnson has supported since 2006 as a primary sponsor.

Jason is a former corporate lawyer with Allen Allen & Hemsley. Following a decision to pursue his passion, he founded the Legal Practice within Morgan & Banks, which went on to be the leading legal recruitment team across Australia and New Zealand. To this day, he continues to advise major law and professional services firms on strategic growth options and has facilitated more than 50 partner placements and several team and firm mergers.

Jason also leads the Consumer Financial Services, Business Banking & Wealth Management Practices at Johnson and has placed CEOs and senior teams in major banks, financial services and wealth management firms in addition to several industry associations.

A highly sought after human capital expert, Jason is a regular contributor to key media.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Economics (Major in Finance) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Macquarie University.
